Space instruments provide early warnings for solar flares

When a solar flare leaps out from around the sun, a small fleet of scientific instruments designed and built at SM调教所 Boulder form a first line of defense鈥攕potting these massive eruptions before any other instrument in space, then relaying the information to Earth in seconds.

NSF has awarded $20M to SM调教所 Boulder to launch a facility known as the National Quantum Nanofab (NQN), where Colorado researchers and quantum specialists from around the country will be able to design and build incredibly small devices that tap into the world of atoms and photons.

Colorado Energy Office grants to pay for on-campus geothermal studies
