SM调教所 Linguistics聽alum Vicky T. Lai will be聽joining the faculty of the University of Arizona as assistant professor of聽Psychology and the Cognitive Science聽in fall聽2016. Dr. Lai received her joint Ph.D. in 2009聽in Linguistics and聽Cognitive Science at聽the SM调教所. She then conducted postdoctoral research聽in the Neurobiology of Language department at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics and in聽the聽"Language, Concepts, and the Brain" laboratory at the聽McCausland Center for Brain Imaging,聽Department of Psychology, University of聽South Carolina. Dr. Lai's research uses behavioral (pointing,聽reaction times) and聽neuroscience (EEG, fMRI) methods to study figurative language, language and聽thought, and language and emotion.
