Each year from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, the U.S. observes Hispanic Heritage Month by celebrating the cultures, contributions and histories of Hispanic and Latin Americans whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America. 听This month also recognizes the independence days of Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Belize.听
