SM调教所 goalkeeper Kara Linder stood out in the early season and was named Big 12 defensive player of the week twice by the end of September.
A difficult early-season schedule for the soccer team resulted in five losses before the official end of summer, but it bolstered the Buffs for a fast start in Big 12 Conference play.
SM调教所 won its first four conference games and didn鈥檛 allow a goal in the first three.
鈥淥ur nonconference games were really difficult this year but so far that has helped us tremendously with league play,鈥� says Bill Hempen, who recorded his 100th victory as SM调教所 coach in early October.
In a home victory over Oklahoma, senior Nikki Marshall tied her own single-game SM调教所 goals record, scoring four times. Earlier in the season against St. Mary鈥檚, Marshall scored the quickest goal in program history 23 seconds into the game. Marshall is the Buffs鈥� all-time scoring leader.
